by Tiziana Di Giovannandrea 27 January 2020 The PA, the Palestinian National Authority , does not accept Trump's peace plan for the Middle East. He will not be present at talks organized by the White House and rejects the peace plan by proclaiming a 'day of anger' in the West Bank for Tuesday.

The president of the Palestinian National Authority, Abu Maze n , convened an emergency meeting of the Palestinian leadership in Ramallah, on Tuesday evening at 7 pm local time (6 pm in Italy) and 12 pm in Washington, to coincide with the presentation in Washington of the Middle East peace plan promoted by the administration of Donald Trump. Wafa news agency reported. "Trump wants to impose something on us that we don't want, it can't be. I don't have much to live and I don't want to be a traitor. I said no to the Agreement of the Century and will continue to say no," said Abu Mazen, commenting on the indiscretions of the plan, considered the most favorable to Israel ever drawn up before. His spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeina then appealed to the Arab ambassadors , who tomorrow will be invited to participate in the ceremony where Trump will reveal the plan: "Not to be present, to an event that we consider a conspiracy aimed at undermining the rights of our Palestinian people ".

In view of the presentation of the plan, the Trump administration has tried in recent days to have a telephone conversation with Abu Mazen, without success. CNN reported, recalling that the Palestinian Authority broke all official relations with the White House and the State Department after Trump declared Jerusalem the capital of Israel in December 2017. The Palestinian Authority continues to cooperate, however. with the United States in the security sector.

Rumors about the Middle East peace plan
According to the Palestinians, the American administration's proposal calls for the annexation of the Jordan Valley, which represents 30% of the occupied West Bank, and the Israeli colonies there, and the recognition of Jerusalem as the official capital of Israel. The PA has reiterated its firm opposition to the plan and has threatened to challenge the Oslo agreements if Washington continues to propose these terms. The proposal has been developed over the past three years by the president's advisors, Jared Kushner and Avi Berkowitz, as well as by the former United States envoy to the Middle East, Jason Greenblatt, who resigned in the fall.

Israeli positions
On the same day, Donald Trump met privately and separately in the White House with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his political rival Benny Gantz to anticipate the details of the proposal that he will reveal tomorrow Tuesday. "It's a very big plan," said the president who would have already shown the two Israeli leaders the map with Israel's new borders.

Benny Gantz , centrist Israeli opposition leader and prime minister candidate in the March elections, commenting on Twitter about his meeting with Trump commented: "Historical and significant peace plan, I will implement it. The president's peace plan is a historic milestone and immediately after the elections, I will work for its implementation in a permanent government and in coordination with the countries of the region.
