January 27, 20206.35 The death toll from the violent storm that hit the southeastern Brazilian state of Minas Gerais last Thursday is worsening, causing floods and landslides. 44 people who lost their lives and 12 who were injured. The displaced people are almost 17,000. According to the Brazilian Meteorological Institute, it was the most significant rainfall since the start of the measurements 110 years ago. Only since yesterday the rains have started to decrease.
