The head of the Special Tasks and Events Department at the Abu Dhabi Police Emergency and Public Safety Directorate, Major Saif Juma Al Kaabi, stated that the most common causes of child injuries in vehicles are caused by excessive speed and recklessness of some drivers, neglect and lack of awareness of the risk of child injury in vehicles, and the lack of Commitment to place seat belts, heat exhaustion, child forgetting inside the vehicle, overloading children inside vehicles, placing children in the front seat, not using special child seats to protect them, and not having seat belts for each seat or belts for school bags in some areas School buses, recklessness and recklessness of some drivers by placing the child in front of them while driving, leaving children alone in the car while operating in private and public places, and parents busy with other things.

Al-Kaabi recommended that the parents take 10 measures to protect children from the risk of accidents inside the vehicles, namely: a commitment not to place the child with his parents in the front seats, and obligate private vehicles to the necessity of installing a chair for children, and to monitor children during boarding and getting out of school buses to avoid forgetting a child inside them, and not to be preoccupied with others The road while driving, alerting students to the need to fasten seat belts in school buses, adherence to specific speeds and traffic laws and regulations, not to leave children alone in vehicles during temporary parking or final parking, and commit to putting the seat belt in It affects vehicle users (the driver and all passengers), not placing loads, equipment or solid materials with the passengers in the vehicle, and not exceeding school buses while standing to load or download students.

He stressed the necessity of dealing wisely when injuries occurred and reporting them in terms of clarifying their quality and number of injured, observing the surrounding risks, and asking for help from the police by calling 999 at the command and control center, giving the type of injury and the correct address and staying with the case until the ambulance arrived.
