An earthquake of magnitude 5.3 occurred off the coast of the Aleutian Islands. It is reported by the US Geological Survey.

It is noted that the epicenter of the tremors was 62 km west of Amatignak island.

The center of the earthquake lies at a depth of 34.3 km.
