Ras Al Khaimah Police has identified 10 steps to safeguard bank information and credit cards from theft or fraud that occurs via email, phone or text messages from some fraudsters.

The director of the Community Police Department in Ras Al Khaimah Police, Colonel Dr. Rashid Mohammed Al-Salhadi, told «Emirates Today» that «the combined police set three standards for credit card holders, for the way to use them in sales centers and commercial stores, and for the way to buy online, and these standards include 10 steps to keep bank information and credit cards from being stolen, including the necessity of maintaining the confidentiality of the credit card number, and avoiding writing the password behind the card, and the need to change credit card numbers, especially after returning from travel outside the country, to preserve the confidentiality of Banking information that has been traded by the card holder ».

The 10 steps

1- Maintaining the confidentiality of the credit card number.

2- Avoid writing the password behind the card.

3- Changing the credit card password continuously, after returning

From traveling abroad.

4- Use the SMS service to ensure that the card is not used

From someone else.

5- Ensure that the credit card is received and the purchase made is executed

6- Not to forget to withdraw credit cards from the ATM, and not to leave any

7 - Be careful not to give any credit card information via messages
