The night of Saturday, police received a call about a man running around chasing people in central Gnesta.

"He was bloody and had a larger knife-like object," says Erik Terneborn, the police spokesman.

Arrested in housing

The man should not have gotten hold of anyone but must have cut himself in front of people and was therefore bloody. There were many witnesses who could eventually lead the police to a home where the man was arrested.

- It was under odramatic forms and no person should have been injured in the incident.

He is now suspected of serious illegal threats and gross violation of the knife law, and a house search was carried out in the home. The man himself had suffered cuts but was not seriously injured.

The police have yet to know what was behind the incident.
