The conviction complies with the requisitions. Mourad Farès was sentenced on Friday (January 24th) in Paris to 22 years in prison for having incited dozens of young people to go to jihad in Syria and for having led a group of young fighters there.

The special assize court added a two-thirds security period to this conviction. The representative of the prosecution had called for sanctioning the "determining" role of Mourad Farès, 35, in the recruitment of a "quarantine" of jihadists, and the absence of "real repentance".
