The road is one of two to be built for easier traffic. The other road will also go from the roundabout at Västerleden and connect with the E18. It is planned to be completed between 2024 and 2025. According to Anna Thunnel (MP), chair of the technical committee in the city of Västerås, the road is long-awaited, but the car is one of several means of transport. Bus traffic and bicycles are also tools to reduce traffic density.
In addition to the roads, pedestrians and cycle paths will also be built.
