On its Facebook page, the police of Aveyron had issued a call for witnesses following the accident which had cost the life of the pilot of a motorcycle, Monday morning in Olemps, in the suburbs of Rodez. The 47-year-old man died after being hit by a car. The call ended Wednesday.

Police said the investigation by Rodez urban security had "allowed to arrest and place in custody the driver of the vehicle, as well as three other individuals involved in the tragedy". The four suspects, including three minors, were presented Wednesday to the public prosecutor of the prefecture of Aveyron.

A forties and three teenagers aged 13 to 16 arrested

The latter opened a judicial inquiry, in particular for "theft in a meeting", "concealment of theft", "involuntary homicide by a person not holding a driving license" and "voluntary abstention from bringing assistance to a person in danger".

According to Center Presse Aveyron , the adult is 42 years old, minors 13 to 16 years old. The investigation showed that one of the teenagers was driving at the time of the accident, with the forties as passenger. They were traveling in a stolen car the day before, and had fled after the impact. The adult was placed in pre-trial detention, the minors under judicial supervision.
