According to the law adopted earlier, the retirement age for Russians will be gradually increased by five years (annually in increments of one year, until it reaches 65/60 years for men and women, respectively), the authors of the project indicate.

They recall that in order to "mitigate the consequences" on the instructions of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin for mothers of large families who gave birth to three and four children, the possibility of early retirement was provided.

“The main goal of the proposed bill is to symmetrically mitigate the consequences of raising the retirement age for men,” the explanatory note says.

As noted, the changes are intended to strengthen the institution of families with children and provide its material support in the future.

Earlier, the Ministry of Labor said under what conditions a person can achieve the appointment of an early pension in case of loss of work.

As indicated in the department, such a pension is awarded no earlier than two years before the retirement age, taking into account the transitional period, and for its purpose it is necessary to have an insurance experience of at least 25 and 20 years for men and women, respectively.

The ministry noted that before making a decision, an analysis of the state of the labor market is carried out.

In early December, then-Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said that one of the most difficult decisions for him was a decision on pension reform.
