January 22, 2020 One of the pillars of the M5s is the new regent, the one who following the resignation of Luigi Di Maio as political leader assumes interim leadership of the party according to the Statute: Vito Crimi is in fact the oldest member of the Guarantee Committee , body in which the deputy minister Giancarlo Cancelleri and the regional councilor of Lazio Roberta Lombardi also sit.Born in Palermo (1972), Brescian by adoption (he moved there in 2000 to work as a judicial assistant to the Court of Appeal), Vito Crimi was the first M5s group leader in the Senate when the Movement entered Parliament in 2013. With Roberta Lombardi group leader in the Chamber had been the protagonist of the unforgettable "streaming" with Pier Luigi Bersani, then secretary of the Democratic Party, in which the two pentastellato exponents closed the door to a government alliance with the Democrats.
