22 January 2020 The World Health Organization Emergency Committee will meet this morning in Geneva to assess the extent of the Sars-like virus outbreak.

In China, according to an updated budget overnight, the infection affected more than 400 people, with nine dead. An alarm comes from China: "the virus can mutate and spread more easily".

One case was found in the United States yesterday, another in Taiwan. Controls at airports have been strengthened, including Italian ones.

European health authorities summoned today.
