Sharjah Municipality confirmed to «Emirates Today» during the second Sharjah Engineering Forum that it organized under the title “Future Engineering”, that it has completed and launched six sewage management projects during 2019 to upgrade the services provided, is the mobile pumping station “Al Sad”, which currently has three pumping 750 liters per minute, as it was able to withdraw large quantities of rain water collected during the period of weather fluctuations in the emirate, and contributed to reducing the damage that may result from rain gatherings, especially in the streets of Maliha and industrial areas.
And she added that among the projects supervised by the Sewerage Department is an irrigation station in the Budaiya area to irrigate crops on the roads in an intelligent manner, and the establishment of a unit of trees and education of owners of determination of farming mechanisms, and a smart irrigation project that uses sensors by measuring the percentage of moisture in the ground to conserve water quantities , And a mini sewage plant to improve and purify treated water.
She indicated that her goal of organizing the forum for the second year is to highlight the most prominent smart solutions that will be applied in the future to advance all activities related to planning, architectural and construction engineering, indicating that she organized over two days more than 50 different workshops and lectures during which the municipality targeted various groups of school and university students And engineers, in addition to dialogue sessions and working papers presented by the municipality with the participation of government agencies.
