The PCF will table in the National Assembly its own text of pension reform, said Tuesday the national secretary Fabien Roussel, again demanding the withdrawal of the government project three days before a new day of mobilization.

"The French Communist Party will table its own pension reform with a law on this subject," he said on Cnews.

"Regardless of this", he recalled that "the left forces, environmentalists and the PCF with the PS, the Greens, Public Square, Generations and others" were working on "counter-proposals" on "arduousness", "the minimum contribution at the minimum wage", long and chopped careers, wage inequalities between women and men, pensions of farmers and craftsmen, "to show that it is possible to improve the current system on very specific points" .

These proposals must be revealed on Wednesday, after a joint meeting on the initiative of the PCF which was held on December 11.

After 48 days of mobilization of "very diverse professions", "it is urgent that the government, the president of the Republic, calm the situation" by withdrawing their reform project, further urged Mr. Roussel.

Protest actions by lawyers, teachers, carers and even firefighters: "we have never seen that in the Republic", he worried.
