When everyday life gets too hard: "With support you can take a little longer"

Of those who turn to Anhörigcentrum in Västerås, it is mainly women. When it comes to the age distribution of visitors, 55 percent are 65 years or older, while 45 percent of visitors are younger than 65.

- In recent years, we have noticed that more and more people are turning to us. Last year we set a record with the number of visitors, says Susan Svenman, family consultant at Västerås city Anhörigcentrum.

Once you lift the handset and turn to Anhörigcentrum, it has usually been a long time and you tried everything at home, says Susan Svenman.

- Through family support, you can be a little longer in a difficult situation, she says.
