The CFDT welcomed the provisional withdrawal of the pivotal age of 64 from the pension reform bill announced by the Prime Minister on January 11. @ UDCFDTParis / Twitter

The CFDT headquarters suffered a new intrusion on Monday, January 20. This union is in favor of the establishment of a universal points system, it calls to end the strike and to negotiate with the government, which arouses the anger of all those who first ask for the withdrawal of the current reform project before you negotiate anything. This time, the action was claimed by a branch of the CGT.

They were fifteen, dressed in black and they wore hoods. Police and union CFDT sources, the actors in this punching action only stayed a few minutes on the premises of the CFDT, just enough time to cut the electricity and put down leaflets against the pension reform.

A low intensity attack, it seems in military jargon, even in comparison to the intrusion that occurred just three days ago, in the same place. Except that this time, it bears a signature: those of nine departmental unions in the Energy branch of the CGT, which have claimed action.

The national management of the CGT, it dissociates itself from this action, which aims " not the right target " and which is considered " counterproductive ".

These are not actions that will allow us to have answers to our demands. It would be better to use our energy to make ourselves heard with the government, big business ...

Céline Verzeletti, Confederal Secretary of the CGT 20/01/2020 - by David Baché Play

But despite this distancing, this action could play into the hands of the government, which presents all those who continue to oppose pension reform as " hardliners ".

The management of the CFDT, which obviously deems " unacceptable " this new attack , believes that with this untimely power cut, " it is class collaboration that has been plunged into obscurity ".
