The attorney for the victim, lawyer Issa bin Haider, said after the first session of the trial: "The first accused attended while the other defendants did not attend, and the first accused denied the charge assigned to him and asked the defense to discuss the head of the medical committee about what came in the report issued by it."

The court postponed the case to the end of the session to ensure that the rest of the accused received the announcement, to ensure the completion of the litigation and then to defend the defense, pointing out that the reports were crucial and convincing to the Public Prosecution in proving the serious professional error, as it was issued by the highest medical committee in the country that is characterized by integrity in its work.

He added that the requests submitted by the defense to discuss the chairman of the committee are a legitimate right in an attempt to find a mistake in the report or a loophole on which the defense can be established.
