Bastrykin referred the case of emergency in a hotel in Perm to the central office of the UK


The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, handed over to the central office of the department a criminal case about the death of five people as a result of a pipe break with hot water in a mini-hotel in Perm.

This was reported by the official representative of the UK Svetlana Petrenko.

It is noted that such a decision was made for the most complete and prompt investigation.

“In addition, the most experienced criminologists of the central apparatus of the Investigative Committee were sent to Perm to provide practical assistance, as well as to collect and record evidence,” the department said.

According to the prosecutor's office of the Perm Territory, the supervisory authority also organized a check on the fact of a pipe break in the hotel.

“A legal assessment will be given of the legality of the actions of all participants in the process of preparing heating networks and a house for the heating period, the safety of the provision and provision of services at this facility, as well as the legality of the organization and placement of citizens,” the prosecutor’s office said.

Earlier, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under Part 3 of Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of Russia (the provision of services that do not meet the requirements of life safety and the health of consumers, resulting in the death of two or more persons by negligence).

As a result of a hot water pipe break in the Caramel mini-hotel in Perm, five people were killed and three were injured.
