In Algeria, the second Council of Ministers since the election of the president on December 12 took place on Saturday January 18. Authorities published the report on Sunday. Objective: to outline the program of the president's mandate Abdelmadjid Tebboune is trying to prove his will to reform.

Break with past practices and reduce imports. This seems to be the two main objectives of the authorities, in the press release published after the Council of Ministers this Saturday.

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has identified a series of priorities , which will then be formalized in a program to be approved by the Parliament. Six sectors are concerned: industry, agriculture, housing, trade, health and micro-enterprise.

Certain promises seem to respond to significant criticism for several years. Abdelmadjid Tebboune calls on the government to find solutions for the milk shortage, to provide for the construction of one million dwellings within five years or to improve reception in the emergency and maternity services in the country.

As in his inauguration speech, the president wants to show that he is attentive to the concerns of society. The philosophy of the proposed reforms remains very similar to that of Abdelaziz Bouteflika's last mandate.
