“I believe that (US Secretary of State. - RT ) Mike Pompeo has failed in Venezuela and is responsible for the failure of Donald Trump in his policy towards our country. I think Pompeo is in the clouds, he doesn’t really look at things, ”Maduro said in an interview with The Washington Post.
The Venezuelan leader also emphasized that Trump had “disgusting” Venezuelan advisers.
“(Ex-Security Advisor. - RT ) John Bolton, Mike Pompeo (US Special Representative for Venezuela. - RT ) Elliot Abrams led him to a wrong vision,” Maduro explained.
Earlier, Maduro announced his readiness to reconsider relations with the United States on the condition of mutual respect.
