Police received a call at 2am the night before Saturday about a bus driver being beaten on Norra Kungsgatan in Gävle.
Several young people must have wanted to go to a place where the bus did not go. Instead, they should have been referred by the bus driver to another bus. They should then have started throwing bottles on the bus and the driver.
"He should have had injuries on one hand, but it is unclear if he needed hospital care," said police spokesman Tobias Ahlén.
The police sent several patrols to the scene but when they got there, the youths had disappeared.
