It is now official: the Saracens, champion of Europe and England in title, will be relegated at the end of the season for exceeding the salary ceiling, said on Saturday the Premiership, the English championship.
"At the end of the dialogue with the Saracens on their compliance with the regulations on the salary-cap, it was decided that the Saracens will be relegated at the end of this season", it is written in a press release from the Premiership.
The club, ultra-dominant on the European scene in recent years, had been penalized at first by 35 points in the English ranking and a fine of more than six million euros at the start of the season for several offenses.
