"Today, the US Treasury announced a US delegation to attend the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz in Poland on January 27, 2020, organized by the Republic of Poland and the State Museum of Auschwitz-Birkenau," the US Treasury said in a statement.
It is noted that Finance Minister Stephen Mnuchin will head the delegation.
In December, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, during a performance in a museum at the site of the former Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau, said she was ashamed of the crimes committed by the Nazis.
