The National Court has agreed to open an investigation into the incident in the Christmas lottery draw. The judicial headquarters received complaints about the fact that a man was seen entering manually balls in one of the drums. The investigation has been opened after the presentation of a dozen complaints for a possible crime of fraud. As these are facts that have repercussions throughout Spain, the competent judicial body to investigate them is the National Court.

Instructor Judge Alejandro Abascal has agreed to three proceedings First, he asks the State Lottery and Betting Society of the State to "prepare and submit a report on the 'incident' denounced" in the extraordinary draw. Secondly, it requires you to notify you if there is an action protocol for cases such as the one that took place on December 21 and, if so, if that planned procedure was fulfilled. Third, the magistrate claims Lotteries to refer him to the "complete recording of what happened."

The head of the Central Court of Instruction 6 has acted after receiving a letter from the Prosecutor's Office claiming the practice of the agreed procedures. According to the explanation offered by Lotteries on the day of the events - before the elucubrations and suspicions spread on social networks - the investigation would not have much progress. The agency's statement explained that "one of the circumstances envisaged in the process of introducing the balls into the drums is that some may bounce outwards." In that case, he added, "the established protocol indicates that the operator responsible for the introduction of the balls in the drum must proceed to its manual introduction into it."
