In cooperation with the Dubai 10X initiative and Dubai Future Foundation, Emirates Today publishes the most prominent projects participating in the initiative, which was directed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to all government agencies in Dubai To apply today what the cities of the world will apply after 10 years, Dubai 10X seeks, in cooperation with the relevant authorities in the Dubai government, to adopt new models for future governments, by bringing about a comprehensive change in the governmental work system, and setting future plans that restore the government’s role in serving societies and making the future.

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) participated in the Dubai 10x initiative of the Dewa Digital pilot project, through which it intends to replace and change the operating model for service institutions, and to transform into the first digital institution in the world, with self-control systems for renewable energy and storage, with Increased use of artificial intelligence and digital services.

Dewa reported that it is working to formulate a new digital future for the Emirate of Dubai through the Dewa Digital, the digital arm of the authority, within the “Dubai 10X” initiative announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, In order to develop the services of the Dubai government, to apply today what other cities of the world will apply after 10 years through innovative replacement technologies.

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority initiative is based on four axes to provide a new experience for service institutions in Dubai and the world, the first axis is the launch of advanced solar energy technologies in Dubai, and the second depends on operating a renewable energy network that uses innovative technologies to store energy, and the third axis includes the expansion in the use of solutions Integrated artificial intelligence, while the fourth axis includes the benefit of integrated technologies that help in providing world-class services around the clock through the launch of the Authority's «Moro» data platform to develop the digital capabilities of the UAE in smart city applications, and Providing advanced and innovative digital solutions.

The authority indicated that the first axis will increase the use of solar energy within the framework of the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050, which aims to transform the Emirate of Dubai into a global center for clean energy and a green economy, by diversifying the energy mix in the emirate to include 75% of clean energy sources by 2050, Stressing that this axis will contribute to strengthening the role of Dubai and its global leadership in the field of solar energy and providing it around the clock.

She stated that the second axis will work on operating a renewable energy network that uses innovative technologies in energy storage, and this will allow the utilization of a clean energy mix in line with the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050, to ensure the integration of clean energy and storage, and to achieve the maximum efficiency and reliability in performance and operations, will be adopted The authority has the latest self-learning systems for devices and machines.

She added that «Dewa Digital» seeks, through this axis, to operate a renewable energy network that uses innovative energy storage technologies, explaining that this axis includes several sub-initiatives that include the largest concentrated solar power plant in the region with thermal storage, as it is the fourth stage of the Mohammed complex Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar is the largest investment project in one location in the world, combining the technologies of concentrated solar energy and solar photovoltaic according to the independent product system, with a capacity of up to 950 MW.

She stressed that this stage will depend on the concentrated solar energy with a capacity of 700 megawatts, and solar photovoltaic capacity with 250 megawatts, and this stage includes the highest tower for the production of concentrated solar energy in the world with a height of 260 meters, and the largest storage capacity of solar energy in the world for 15 hours, which allows the availability of Energy is available 24 hours. The axis also includes a hydroelectric power station stored in Hatta, and is the first of its kind at the level of the Arab Gulf region, and testing the ability to store energy using various storage technologies.

The authority said that through the third axis, Dubai will be the first city to provide its services for electricity and water using artificial intelligence technologies, and this axis, under the name of “Ramas”, will expand the scope of the uses of artificial intelligence systems to include all operational operations, indicating that it will undertake the launch of self-learning devices and services to enhance Customer experience, supporting employee services, and improving productivity, including improving network core operations.

She added that the "Ramas" project will be implemented through three sub-initiatives: artificial intelligence for customers, artificial intelligence for employees, and artificial intelligence for systems. "Ramas", the Authority's virtual employee, is available through the WhatsApp application, the Authority's smart application and its website (www.dewa.gov.ae), and its account on the social networking site "Facebook", "Alexa" systems and "Google Home", And robots.

She said that "Ramas" is characterized by its ability to learn and understand the needs of customers based on their inquiries, analyze them according to available data and data and evaluate them, and then take the necessary decision to answer and respond accurately to contribute to the completion of transactions easily.

She added that "Ramas" has answered more than two million requests and inquiries through various channels since its launch in the first quarter of 2017, explaining that it has recently added the feature of direct voice chat in both Arabic and English to "Ramas" through its smart application.

The authority stated that the fourth axis will undertake the expansion of services through the "Moro" digital platform that was launched in 2018, to provide hosting and data storage services, and to manage digital services in the cloud.

She added that this axis goes beyond providing cloud computing, to provide global standard services and multiple solutions from one place, according to the highest levels of quality, in addition to enhancing the customer experience, pointing out that this axis includes the launch of the digital company «X», to provide advanced and innovative digital solutions that enhance the applications Smart cities and smart living services for Dubai residents.
