Sabers, objects of worship and 28 recades were bought by a collective of antique dealers from Saint-Germain-des-Prés and offered this Friday, January 17 at the Petit Musée de la Récade in Lobozounkpa.

The museum is all white, lit and well refreshed by air conditioning. Inside, the objects are arranged along the walls and a small label summarizes their history and origin. The shape of each baton of command depends on the symbol and the strong name of the sovereign.

At the time of the speeches, none of the speakers said the word "restitution" or the word "loan". They talked about return of objects and donation . The antique dealers of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, friends and patrons of the Petit Musée de la Récade acquired their objects in 2019 in Nantes during an auction.

The representative of the Minister of Culture applauded Robert Vallois , the initiator of this museum. At the desk, the gallery owner who convinced and trained his friends in the adventure of Benin, was very brief. Today is a celebration, it is the return of a small piece of the history of Benin. He is there and waiting for you. Dominique Zinkpe, honorary president of the museum added to the moment when concluding the series of speeches, declaring: " who saw the recession, saw the king ".
