Dresden (dpa) - The nationwide peasant protests for the Green Week have started. Commuters in many German cities have to be prepared for traffic delays. Actions are planned in Bavaria, Lower Saxony, Bremen, Baden-Württemberg, Berlin and Hesse. The biggest demonstration awaits the organizers in Nuremberg, where around 5000 tractor drivers want to protest. The reason for the demos is the start of the Green Week in Berlin. Among other things, the farmers criticize the planned tightening of the fertilizer regulation and the effects of insect protection.
