The incident happened last fall when the man clutched a bow with a hunting arrow and targeted the shop staff and a customer who came in to shop.

During the trial in late November, the man stated that he thought he saw jihadists and brought the bow to protect the villagers. He denies crime and thinks he had no intention of threatening anyone.

The district court considers that the crime is serious because a bow and arrows have been used.

The 40-year-old will also pay damages to the three victims of SEK 10,000 each.
