The Supervisory Council of the Municipality and Planning Department of Ajman held its third meeting, which was chaired by Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, head of the department, head of the council, and Abdul Rahman Muhammad Al Nuaimi, deputy chairman of the council, general manager of the department and independent members who are Eng. The meeting reviewed the recommendations of previous meetings, the results of sectoral indicators and the indicators of the competitive national agenda for the third quarter of the past year 2019, in addition to presenting the secret shopper report, the first sustainability report and the statistical handbook.
Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al-Nuaimi said at the beginning of the meeting that all institutions and departments in the United Arab Emirates are going according to the wise leadership visions and are currently working on aligning their initiatives with the initiative to prepare for its fifty, directing everyone to launch pilot projects that are compatible with the directions of the rational government and achieve their desired goals.
The meeting reviewed the results of the sectoral indicators of the department, where the qualified competencies managed to achieve a rate of 93.36% of the targets of sectoral indicators, which includes the index linking establishments to the sewage network, where the department scored an honorable percentage during the third quarter of 2019, in addition to the index of days with a good reading of the air atmosphere gauge in addition to The index of recycled solid waste, and on the ease of doing business in the field of licenses, the department was able to achieve the first Arab position in the time taken to obtain building permits.
He expressed his pride in the achieved results, guiding the serious endeavor to achieve the best in the field of tree planting and providing a complete and comprehensive infrastructure, recommending the implementation of a comprehensive study on traffic intersections and working to develop them and focus on improving development projects in cooperation with the Ministry of Infrastructure Development in addition to opening horizons of cooperation with private companies that have proven Efficiency in maintaining the central islands in the emirate.
During the meeting, the Secret Shopper initiative was presented in 2019, during which 87 visits were made to service delivery channels during 3 waves that started in September and ended in January 20120, where visits were distributed to channels according to weights approved based on the number of transactions for each channel
Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid directed to provide all services to the people of the Masfout and Manama regions, which helps them to complete all their transactions in the two regions without the need to visit the Customer Happiness Center in Ajman, indicating that the work team must intensify its efforts to provide services to the customer at any time and anywhere.
The meeting discussed the presentation of the first sustainability report for the Municipal Department, which was prepared in accordance with the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative to cover the performance of the department in relation to sustainable development and achievements during the past period, where the report was characterized by absolute transparency to cover all activities and services related to the departments of the department.
Council members presented at the end of the meeting a number of constructive ideas and proposals that contribute to creating a sustainable environment and a modern structure to build the future of Ajman by developing the infrastructure of the Emirate of Ajman in accordance with an integrated organization that takes into account the requirements of the environment, health and public safety.
