For its part, Dubai Knowledge and Human Development Authority reported that school principals have the authority to decide to suspend schools in rainy and bad weather conditions, according to the assessment of the situation, in order to preserve the safety of students.
The Sadiq Islamic English School in Dubai notified parents of its students that "due to bad weather conditions and to ensure the safety of our students, parents and staff, our school will be closed tomorrow Sunday," adding: "We very much hope and expect to open again on Monday."

The American Knowledge School in Dubai said, "Today we noticed the floods in the school and on the roads and there is a prediction of rain for this evening and tomorrow. Therefore, according to the safety of students, we decided to close the school for tomorrow (Sunday)."

On the other hand, the Ministry of Education informed "Emirates Today" that it is currently following up on all schools in terms of their readiness to receive students, adding that based on the state of school readiness, the suspension of study will be assessed or not, according to the weather situation tomorrow by the competent authorities .
