A few years ago, there was a parking chaos outside the University Hospital in Linköping and the cars did not fit. But now they have been actively working to get the employees to choose a bicycle or bus instead. And the efforts have produced results - now there are 600 fewer cars in the parking lot every day.

"It was not that popular, but it was the tax authorities who had the requirements on us and we had staff who lived near the hospital who put their cars there in the days to avoid paying their housing parking," says Annelie Frick, who leads the work on reducing car use within region Östergötland.

The initiative is also being made at the Vrinevis Hospital and at Motala Lasarett in Östergötland.

But everyone is not happy with the efforts - see more in the clip above.
