• Indonesia, 6.2 degree shock in Aceh province: no tsunami warning

January 07, 2020 A new earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 was registered in Puerto Rico by the American Geophysical Institute.

The epicenter was located near Tallaboa, with a hypocenter at a depth of 10 kilometers. For the moment there is no news of victims or damage caused by the shock, which occurred at 03:24 local time (09:24 Italian time). According to the Tsunami Warning Center there is no danger of anomalous waves.

At the moment there have been no damages to things or people. Yesterday's magnitude 5.8 earthquake caused five homes to collapse in the city of Guanica, on the southwest coast, and severely damaged dozens of others. It also caused small landslides and electrical blackouts.

Yesterday in Puerto Rico another earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 was registered.
