It is reported by the Polish Radio.

It is noted that the Polish diplomatic mission negatively perceived Zelenko’s statement, which stated that “every nation and every state independently determines and honors its heroes”.

Thus, the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine responded to the joint statement of the ambassadors of Israel and Poland, condemning the heroization of Bandera and other Nazi collaborators.

“It is hard to believe that such words could have been spoken through the lips of a Ukrainian diplomat,” the Polish diplomatic mission said.

The embassy also noted that if Zelenko believes that "the cult of Bandera or Miller is an internal affair of Ukraine, then on what basis does Kiev advocate that Russia recognize the Holodomor as genocide."

Earlier, the ambassadors of Poland and Israel, Bartosz Ziechocki and Yoel Lyon, expressed concern about the situation in Ukraine related to the celebration of Stepan Bandera and other Nazi collaborators.

In response to this, Zelenko stated that "every nation and every state independently determines and honors its heroes."
