Bunks and New Year rockets aimed in the wrong direction began the new year. The police in Stockholm County received some 40 calls about fireworks in the hours before and after the twelve o'clock, among other things, rockets were fired indoors at the Bagarmossen subway station.

In Husby, two people were taken into custody after police fired with New Year's rockets, and in Upplands Väsby, a minor fire started in the ground floor of a house, according to the rescue service caused by a firework display. In the Hökarängen, a man was burned in an apartment and had to be taken to hospital. The man can be suspected of negligent negligence.

- It is as one would expect a New Year. There has been a lot to do. We have received alarm calls about noise and rockets, but nothing more serious, says Towe Hägg spokesperson for the police.

Abuse, attempted rape and fighting

A report of a suspected rape outdoors near Kungsträdgården was raised by police. The victim was taken to hospital and no perpetrator is arrested.

The police also intervened after an alarm that a man should have beaten two victims in connection with a party at Södermalm. The man was taken into custody because of intoxication and his five-year-old daughter who was with was driven to social media.

Around twelve o'clock, a fight broke out in a villa in Djursholm where uninvited guests came. One person was injured after receiving a flower pot in his head and was taken to hospital.

Expected New Year's Eve

During the first six hours of the year, the police headquarters recorded 555 reported incidents. This is a slight increase from last year when 515 events were reported. According to the police, the New Year's events were not something that stood out from previous years.

- We had more police officers on duty this year, which meant that we could be in more places than a regular weekend night, says Tove Hägg spokesperson at the Police.
