“Over the past day ... 400 food packages with a total weight of 1.94 tons were given to needy Syrians,” TASS quoted the head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of the warring parties in the SAR, Major General Yuri Borenkov.
It is noted that the Russian military continued to patrol four routes in the provinces of Hasek and Aleppo.
Earlier, Russian military police patrolled the Syrian-Turkish border on several routes in Aleppo.
On December 21, an official spokesman for the UN Secretary General, Stefan Dujarric, expressed hope that the Security Council would decide on the provision of humanitarian assistance to Syria until January 10, when the UN cross-border program is expected to close.
