27 December 2019 Facebook filed a complaint against the Rome court order that on 12 December last ordered the social network to reactivate Casapound's accounts. "There is concrete evidence that Casapound has been engaged in organized hatred and has repeatedly violated our rules. For this reason, we have filed a complaint," said a Facebook spokesman.

"We do not want people or groups who spread hatred or attack others based on who they are to use our services, no matter who they are. For this reason we have a policy on dangerous people and organizations that prohibits those who are engaged in 'organized hatred' to use our services, "says the Facebook spokesman.

"Political parties and candidates, as well as all individuals and organizations on Facebook and Instagram, must respect these rules, regardless of their ideology."

Facebook's complaint is against the ordinance with which on 12 December the civil court of Rome ordered the social network to immediately reactivate the Casapound Facebook page, as well as the personal profile and public page of the administrator Davide Di Stefano. These accounts had been deactivated by Facebook on 9 September.
