The Ivorian justice clarified Thursday, December 26, 2019 the accusations made against Guillaume Soro. According to prosecutor Richard Adou, the former Prime Minister and presidential candidate of 2020 was preparing "a civil and military insurrection" to seize "incessantly" of power. To support these accusations, the prosecutor released a recording and also showed photos of weapons seized.

During his press conference , prosecutor Richard Adou listed seizures made by the services. In particular, there are said to be five bullet-proof vests, three heavy machine guns, four anti-tank missiles, ten Kalashnikovs, ammunition boxes.

All this recovered in the Abidjan offices of Guillaume Soro, as well as at the seaside resort of Assinie, confirmation made by a source close to the file.

There is certainly nothing to make a coup with this mini arsenal, but on the government side, we recall that Guillaume Soro was in power, when after the post-electoral crisis, he signed the ban own guns.

For the prosecutor, these seizures are proof that he was preparing a destabilization of Côte d'Ivoire. Especially by cross-checking this seizure with an audio recording where he speaks of a popular uprising with the help of the army.

On the side of the Soroïsts, it is Me Affoussi Bamba, one of the lawyers of the former head of government, who spoke on Thursday evening on Facebook after the press conference of the prosecutor. If she recognized the authenticity of this recording, she claims that it dates from 2017.

At the time, Guillaume Soro was president of the National Assembly and was trying to thwart a plot hatched, according to her, by Alassane Ouattara.
