The Local Police of Seville has arrested two individuals, 33 and 37 years old, as alleged perpetrators of the theft of a bag with more than 3,000 euros that a man had just taken out of an ATM and has identified a third person who allegedly he would have participated in the facts.

The news did not have many more relevant elements other than the pickpocket hunt had occurred "after a rapid persecution."

However, it was not any persecution through the streets of Seville but it was led by local police Sergio Repiso who turns out to be world champion in 4x400 athletics , European record and champion of Spain in the Master category in the police field .

He said, after being interviewed in Antena 3 , he said that the chase race between "200 or 300 meters" had not been too hard for him.

The victim, after taking money from the bank, went to his vehicle, the woman approached and told him that he had dropped two five-euro bills, according to his own account. When he bent down to pick them up, an individual gave him a strong tug on the backpack that took him after a struggle. Both fled in a vehicle that was parked nearby and was driving the third party involved in the events.

The Seville City Council had been in charge of issuing the press release on the event, which occurred around 11.30 am, when an agent patrol was required when circulating on the avenue of Andalusia by a citizen who reported that three people had just finished to steal his purse and they had fled in a vehicle .

Immediately, the agents took the direction towards which the vehicle had been directed, according to the indications of this citizen, who also facilitated the description of the three perpetrators of the robbery and the car in which they fled . Thus, the Police managed to locate the car moments later at the confluence of the avenue of Andalusia with Clemente Hidalgo Street, finally intercepting it when arriving at Marquis de Pickman .

When they were intercepted, two individuals left the vehicle, who tried to flee to the race in opposite directions. Both were reached by the agents, one on Marqués de Pickman's own street and another on the avenue of the Southern Cross.

€ 3,110 recovered

Finally, the police identified the woman who would also have participated in the events and who managed to flee the vehicle, since inside it they found her bag that, among other things, contained three mobile phones and a judicial document in her name. They also located the stolen bag that contained the victim's documentation and the 3,110 euros it contained.

Thus, they proceeded to transfer both to police agencies, where they were available to the courts, knowing that those involved have a significant number of arrests for similar crimes throughout the national territory, weighing on them judicial claims of detention and whereabouts of Santander, Cádiz, Jaen, Alcázar de San Juan (Ciudad Real), Madrid, Getafe (Madrid), Ciudad Real and Sevilla.

The vehicle used was in the municipal deposit, while the recovered money was returned to its owner as a deposit.
