During last week's Friday prayer, a letter with serious threats arrived at the Islamic Cultural Association in Trollhättan. The letters stated, among other things, that "your children will die", "leave Sweden now" and "there will be murder in mosques and outer areas in 26 days", which P4 West also reported.

"Hope the police take it seriously"

Shadi Mansor is active in the association, he says that the letter came as a shock to him and the other members of the board.

- I became scared. The threats are real and I hope the police take it seriously, he says.

Police: "We take this very seriously"

Christer Fuxborg, the police spokesperson in the west region, says that the police are investigating the incident.

- We know it and we take this very seriously. No matter who it is aimed at, this is very serious.

The board member says they want police surveillance during the upcoming Friday prayer, what do you think about that?

- We may make an assessment after the week, depending on how far we have come in the preliminary investigation. It can be a choice that we make, says Christer Fuxborg.

Soap can be switched on

The police in Östra Fyrbodal now look over the letter containing both handwritten sentences and sentences built around clipped newspaper letters. To P4 West, the police say it may be relevant to engage the security police in the case.

- What is scary is that it was sent to the association. We often have activities for children. My son asked me if anyone wanted to kill us. He doesn't dare go to the association anymore, so that's scary, says Shadi Mansor.
