The sessions of the second day of the seventh meeting of the redeployment committees in Hodeidah, the day before yesterday, on board the international ship «Antractic dream» in the Red Sea, were concluded, headed by the Indian General Head of the Observer Group, Abhijit Joha.

The meeting discussed points and proposals submitted by the head of the UN team, General Juha, and included the establishment of the advanced command center for the Redeployment Coordination Committee two days before the redeployment, and its tasks include direct supervision of the redeployment of forces, and the formation of liaison teams that will coordinate the redeployment of forces, in addition to a road map for Fatah Humanitarian corridors of humanitarian agencies and civilians and enabling the movement of citizens to cross.

A statement by the military media of the joint forces stated that the proposals are under study, pointing out that the forces will not be redeployed until after the pending files (the local authority, security, and coast guard) are decided by the political level, indicating that the coordination committee's mission is in the military field, while the The files are entrusted to the understandings of the UN political envoy with the legitimate government and leaders of the Houthi militia, loyal to Iran.

According to the statement, government representatives on the committee stressed the need to address outstanding files related to the definition of the local authority, security forces, and coast guard in Hodeidah Governorate, western Yemen, stressing that the task is entrusted to the basic security forces and coast guard who are not covered by the militias for redeployment.

The government team also expressed its full readiness to open the humanitarian corridors and facilitate the movement of citizens, and on the other hand, the crossings are still closed and planted with mines by the Houthi militias a year ago.

The spokesperson for the joint forces in the West Coast, Waddah Al-Dubeish, said in a press statement that the government team expressed its regret at the Houthi militias ’continued encirclement of the UN Monitoring Mission, pointing out that the team provided evidence with pictures and videos of the Houthi group’s development process.

Al-Dabaysh accused the Houthi group of escalation in light of the presence of the UN Monitoring Mission and the five observation points.

It is noteworthy that the Stockholm Agreement established a tripartite committee composed of representatives of the legitimate government and the Houthis, to be chaired by a United Nations military team, to supervise the implementation of the redeployment clauses outside the city and the ports of Hodeidah and hand them over to the local authority and security and the Coast Guard, in addition to overseeing the removal of Houthi mines, And opening humanitarian crossings for the aid movement and civilians.

This is the seventh meeting of the committee, and the fourth on board an international ship in the international waters of the Red Sea off Hodeidah, due to the obstruction and closure of the Houthi militia of land-based expeditions and the prevention of the international delegation from carrying out its work normally to perform the tasks assigned to it, according to the joint forces.
