The alarm came at 18.30 on Friday night. The fire was supposed to have erupted on the Cathedral Square in Västerås, but should now be extinguished, according to police.
A person must have been seriously injured and taken to hospital. The cause of the fire is unclear and the site is barred for a technical investigation.
