An employee of the Federal Security Service, who was injured the day before as a result of firing on Bolshaya Lubyanka Street, died in a Moscow hospital. This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee.

“One employee died on the spot, the second in serious condition was taken to the hospital, where he later died,” the report said.

In addition, the agency confirmed the identity of the shooter. The attacker was a 39-year-old resident of the Moscow region, Yevgeny Manyurov.

The Investigative Committee added that an operational headquarters was created to investigate the criminal case, which included experienced investigators and forensic investigators of the central office of the Investigative Committee and FSB officers providing operational support. Investigators establish the circumstances of the incident, in particular, information about the identity of the shooter and his motives.

On the evening of December 19, Yevgeny Manyurov opened fire on law enforcement officers near the FSB building on Bolshaya Lubyanka Street. As a result, two employees of the department were killed, and another five people, including one passerby, were injured of varying severity. The attacker was eliminated.

The father of Yevgeny Manyurov in an interview with RT said that he did not raise his son and after the divorce from his wife saw him infrequently. According to him, when the boy was small, his mother did not let him go to his father, insisting that he should grow up. Already an adult Eugene visited his father extremely rarely. The man noted that most of all the young man was attached to his grandmother, who raised him and "was crazy about him."

“It is only fortunate that she died. She would be crazy. He was such a calm guy, ”said the shooter's father.

He added that his son barely talked about work, only once mentioned that he worked as a security guard in the embassy of the United Arab Emirates. According to his father, he never saw Manyurov with a girl, his son did not have close friends, he preferred to be alone, traveled a little, and visited Austria about two years ago.

The man, according to his father, did not express any aggression against the FSB or other departments.

“I have not heard such conversations from him. He was a very calm guy, ”added the man.

As the father of Eugene, after the death of his grandmother, the man changed a lot, became secretive. In addition, he has an “oriental” accent.

“Zhenya, speak Russian, I don’t understand you,” the man told his son at the meetings. In an interview with RT, the shooter's father noted that at a certain moment he began to "stretch" the words.

Manyurov’s father confirmed that he was engaged in shooting “in some kind of shooting gallery” and wanted to get a discharge.

The attacker's neighbors also described him as a calm, quiet, slightly phlegmatic person who preferred solitude and did not appear in the company of friends. They added that he made the impression of a “good boy” from a prosperous family. Manyurov had an excellent relationship with his mother and grandmother, an honored teacher of Russia, who died several months ago.

The media also reported that the man was fond of shooting. However, the DOSAAF shooting club was told that the man had been engaged with them for only three months and did not make much progress. According to the trainer, Manyurov had a rifled carbine of 7.62 mm caliber "with all the necessary documents."

The Russian Practical Shooting Federation also confirmed that Manyurov was not a member of the organization and did not participate in the competitions it organizes.
