Russia and China will offer a new course to solve the DPRK problem

Russia and China plan to present a new course to the UN Security Council aimed at solving the nuclear problem of North Korea. This was announced on air of the Vladivostok FM radio station by the Russian ambassador to the DPRK, Alexander Matsegora.

“We will try in the Security Council together with the Chinese to propose an appropriate new course,” Interfax quoted him as saying.

He also said that Russia and the United States have “one common understanding” - both sides want to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula.

The ambassador emphasized that at the same time, Moscow proposes to pursue a policy that "will really lead to the achievement of this goal."

Earlier, Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, stated that the path to denuclearization of the DPRK and the entire Korean Peninsula does not lie through sanctions, but through confidence-building.
