He also said that Russia and the United States have “one common understanding” - both sides want to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula.

The ambassador emphasized that at the same time, Moscow proposes to pursue a policy that "will really lead to the achievement of this goal."

Earlier, Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, stated that the path to denuclearization of the DPRK and the entire Korean Peninsula does not lie through sanctions, but through confidence-building.
