Emergency services moved out and an ambulance was also sent to the scene. One person was in the house when it started to burn, but was then out of the building. Smoke divers went in and put out the fire. The emergency services investigated the building to find any fire spread.
At 18.50, Gästrike Rescue Service stated that there were still firefighters in the building construction.
“Right now, smoke divers are searching and extinguishing the fires that are in the building. Gävle's forces are also present and assisting, ”according to Daniel Åström, serving internal commander in an e-mail to the media.
