The National Assembly held a plenary session today (13th) at 3:00 p.m. and decided to enact the Fast Track Bill, including amendments to the Public Election Act and Prosecutor Reform Bill.

The Liberal Democratic Party, however, has decided to filibuster the Fast Track bill.

In addition, Democratic Party Lee In-young, Liberal Korean Party Shim Jae-cheol, and Barun Future Party representatives agreed to propose legislation and fast-track legislation at the meeting held by Chairman Moon Hee-sang.

The ruling three-party leader has decided to deal with 22 budget-related bills and civilian bills that were not addressed at the plenary session before the elections, including the election law and the Fast Track bill.

As a result, today's plenary session will include a budgetary bill, a public welfare bill, a fast track election law revision, and a prosecution reform bill.

Another Fast Track bill, Kindergarten 3, is also proposed.

However, the first of the Fast Track bills, the amendment to the electoral law, is expected to be difficult to deal with today due to the party's Phillybuster policy.

South Korean leader Shim Jae-cheol met with reporters after the meeting, saying, "The Korean Party has decided to enter Phillybuster on election law."

The Democratic Party will issue amendments to the Council of 4 + 1 (Democratic Party, Barun Future Party, Justice Party, Democratic Peace Party + Alternative Party) prior to the proposed election.

To this end, the 4 + 1 Council will have a final draft before plenary session.

In-young Lee Lee said, “It's a process that is being decided.” He said, “We are trying to submit a single 4 + 1 proposal. The disagreement should be narrowed as much as possible.”

A vote is also made to decide the extraordinary session of the session with the plenary session.

This is due to the opposition between the Democratic Party's stance that the session of the extraordinary parliament should be held by the 16th of this coming year and the Korean Party's stance that it should be carried out for 30 days according to the convention.
