The Ministry of Education has identified six places nationwide for the "Sports Science Academy" project, which it recently launched to select and care for talented Emirati athletes, female and male, from school students, in stages, from various seminars, noting that the project started in the first semester, As part of the modern system of the Emirati school.
The Ministry indicated that the places of academies of mathematical sciences are located in each of: Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah, explaining that it has introduced a system of "academies" in which students study the same basic subjects as in the general track, along with three sectors Students can specialize in one of them, among which is the Academy of Mathematical Sciences, in which the student studies a wide range of academic and practical mathematical subjects.
The Ministry informed «Emirates Today» that the project seeks initially to provide more attention to education and specialized training for young talents, so that they will be able to represent the country internationally in the future, pointing out that the academy targets all students at all academic levels, explaining that the number of students who enroll in the academy is not Is specified.
She added that physical education teachers implement the first steps of the project inside the school, through extracurricular activities organized during break times and after school hours, and the duration of the activity does not exceed 30 to 45 minutes per week, provided that students who have high physical and sports qualifications are chosen exclusively from others. Students to join the academy.
The Ministry stated that its vision of the Academy of Sports Sciences depends on providing a track from an initial level in sports, which develops to the elite level in sports competitions, noting that the Emirati school model provides students with an opportunity to pursue their passion, and the Academy also provides students with the opportunity to achieve this.
The Ministry has identified five steps for the talent identification process at the Academy of Mathematical Sciences, namely the selection of athletes through trained teachers, then the creation of a database of all potential athletes within the country, after which these students will be directed to the Future Stars program, which is specifically designed to select and select athletic students and distinguished athletes with sport potential High, and the selection process will be for each semester to monitor individual progress, and ultimately guide the selected students, and help them demonstrate their maximum potential in their favorite and distinguished sports.
The Ministry stated that, during the current year, students will undergo physical education tests to be part of the Academy of Sports Sciences in the coming academic year. However, these tests will only be applied in schools that meet the conditions and standards of the second and third rings. In these two phases, students with exceptional physical talent and high athletic academic competence will be chosen, indicating that they provide a professional supervisor in sports science, and a teacher in the schools where the project will be implemented in the second and third cycles.

The Ministry of Education reported that it had decided additional lessons for the second and third sessions, as part of the Academy of Mathematical Sciences alternative to some of the subjects of Category B, that is, the materials for practical and practical projects, and directed the beginning of the current school year of schools to add one division to the Academy of Sports Sciences in the third cycle schools According to the required numbers, and when this is not possible, the students chosen for the Academy are divided into a maximum of two divisions, to facilitate the setting of their academic schedule.
The Ministry had launched a modern integrated curriculum for physical education, which began applying it in public and private schools that applied to the Ministry’s curriculum at the beginning of the second academic semester of the last academic year, targeting all academic levels, in order to enhance the Ministry’s orientations towards supplying the student with basic elements, which contribute to preparing future generations mentally Healthy and physically dedicated to the characteristics of the Emirati student.
