Prime Minister's mobile hoax

2003. Former Prime Minister Göran Persson (S) violated a clear label rules at the Honors table. In the middle of the Nobel Dinner, he picked up the cellphone and answered. His table lady, Crown Princess Victoria, screwed herself up while the conversation was going on. After criticism, Göran Persson defended himself by having to answer. What was the conversation about? The new EU constitution.

Sara Danius color bomb for dress

2018. The Swedish Academy's former permanent secretary Sara Danius attracted attention and was hailed for her choice of clothing during what was to be her last Nobel party. Danius banging for a dress, with the associated tie blouse, was interpreted by many as a boon to the Swedish Academy. Culture News fashion critic Dennis Dahlqvist described the dress as "a color bomb that knocks on all black and white penguins in the hall - the men in coats".

The king's smoking in smoke

1991. King Carl Gustaf was caught smuggling during the Nobel party. It was all captured on film by journalist Gert Fylking and the video clip has become a classic. However, the king does not seem to appreciate being taken on a perpetrator and was quick to try to remove the cigarette from his mouth.

Princess's "Baywatch Dress"

2002. Princess Madeleine showed up at the Nobel party in a red silk dress, which she herself designed together with Pär Engsheden. The dress later came to be called the Baywatch dress, because it was the same color as the swimsuits in the popular TV series, and mainly because of the generous ring. It was not the first time a ringing became a snack ice cream at the Nobel party. In 1992 it was the then Minister of Culture Birgit Friggebos (FP) dress that attracted attention.

Waiter's miss

2018. The waiter would only scratch his neck when what should not happen. An oven-baked root celery fell from the tray that the waiter balanced in one hand and landed on Professor Dan Larhammar's back. However, the waiter, who served at the Nobel Dinner for many years, was quick to brush off the leftovers from the professor - who reportedly did not take bad action.

Physicist's label scandal

1976. Queen Silvia went to the Nobel Party for the first time and got physicist Burton Richter as table lord. What happened next was probably not prepared for. When the food came in, the Nobel Laureate took his spoon - and stuffed it into Silvia's deep plate - to taste the food. The Queen did as royalty usually in such situations: Nothing.

Prime Minister's table condition

2007. Former Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt (M) was, as usual, placed at the salute table, next to Princess Madeleine. Dinner floated on without scandals, but when the dessert was served - vanilla ice cream with raspberry and blackcurrant steps - the prime minister couldn't help but lick his fingers. The criticism from various etiquette experts did not wait.
