The fire of Notre-Dame de Paris in April was the most commented event on Twitter in the world in 2019, according to a ranking published by the social network on Monday.

The keyword "#OurDame" has risen to the top of the list of hashtags related to the most used news this year on the planet, says Twitter without giving any figures.

Follow the new imperial era in Japan "Reiwa" and the protests in Venezuela.

Side personalities, two French are distinguished in the international statistics: the footballer Kylian Mbappé is the 8th most mentioned male athlete, while the president Emmanuel Macron is the 9th most mentioned political personality in the world on the social network.

In France, it is the rappers of PNL @PNLMusic who have the tweet the most retweeted of the year: "it happens" to announce their new album (73,499 retweets).

But in terms of music, it is the k-pop BTS phenomenon that comes at the top of the list, with the #BTS keyword being the most used in this category in France. The group is also the author of the second most retweeted tweet worldwide (956, 806 retweets).

And the tweet that was most "loved" in France was Emmanuel Macron's message of thanks to the French "gameurs" for their mobilization for the benefit of the Pasteur Institute (# Zevent2019, 154.280 "I like").

Finally, in terms of entertainment, the Game Of Thrones series was the most discussed on the social network in France, followed by the C8 TPMP show.
