“The most important event for the combat training of the Russian Armed Forces will be the Caucasus-2020 strategic command-and-staff exercises planned for September 2020,” Shoigu quotes TASS.
He said that in the new academic year, more than 4,800 exercises of various sizes and over 9 thousand practical activities of combat training are planned.
The Minister said that they intend to devote the main attention to introducing the experience of modern armed struggle and to stimulate commanders to non-standard solution of assigned tasks.
He emphasized that "strict implementation of training plans will help maintain a high level of combat readiness of troops, ensure national interests and adequately respond to possible aggravations of the military-political situation in any strategic direction."
