Anneli Snobl negotiated her own agreement before the Region Värmland would be merged with the county council.

This meant a six-month notice period, in addition to the previous agreement's twelve-month severance pay plus social security contributions.

Kicked a year before retirement

Snobl will turn 65 next year, which means she left her post at Region Värmland a year before being given the opportunity to retire.

The region will pay Anneli Snobl 18 monthly salaries of SEK 156,600, ie just over SEK 2.8 million. The agreement was not informed to the other parties in the regional council.

- I am sorry that we got into this situation, the regional board chairman Fredrik Larsson (M) previously told SVT Nyheter Värmland.

Negotiated the directors' agreement

According to Fredrik Larsson, Snobl's agreement was intended to harmonize with other directors.

The directors' agreement from December 2018 shows that Anneli Snobl herself negotiated them, some just days before she negotiated her own, with the same conditions for 18 months full-time salary.

Have you prayed for yourself?

- I don't see it that way at all. When I look at what Region Värmland has for its directors, it is a standard agreement. They have no job security and are not covered by LAS so I think it is at a very reasonable level, says Anneli Snobl to SVT Nyheter Värmland.

- You should not be permanently employed as a director. You have a big mission and you have to deliver, and if you don't do it you have to go, she continues.

You did not resign, but you agreed that you would go. Why?

- I do not want to comment on that. It's passé now, says Anneli Snobl.
